My day

So I took the advice of OliveStreetStudio, and went for a walk. My boys are spending the night at their Grandmas house, so my hubby and I took some much needed time to ourselves. First we went to Old Town so we could split my favorite turkey sub EVER at Old Town Pizzeria!!!!! (The sandwich really does deserve exclamation points) Then we drove to the Bosque for a walk and some end of Autumn nature photography. For those of you who don't know, the Rio Grande river runs through the center of Albuquerque, and a Cottonwood forest surrounds it. Here are a few shots! OK it's like six shots.

  1. I should have done the walk thing today or yesterday, but good for you for doing it!

  3. I hope it made you feel better! What beautiful pictures...such a blue sky. ANd great surroundings for you. Our area is so built with houses, but they are all different and in the spring, I like to see what landscaping people have done and what flowers pop up. We also have a oardwalk on the Ocean, which is awesome, but also VERY crowded, so not exactly a 'nice quiet' place to think.

  4. That's one of the nice things about living here, the sky. It's rarely gloomy and gray. It's almost always bright blue even in the dead of winter. Albuquerque isn't built up as much as it's sprawled out. It’s like someone spilled a 7-11 big gulp of residential homes. But there are lots of quiet places to think! of course it's a two day drive to the nearest ocean. I've never seen it. :(

  6. Sylvia: It is important. It's easy to get caught up with the kids things and forget to take time for yourself and eachother. good luck with that sweet new baby!
