New Stuff on my Etsy Site

I've uploaded about 12 new items on my etsy. I worked my butt off and made some hoops and dangles. I used all the supplies I had on hand and when I get more I'll make more. My personal favorite creation is my "Cemetery Gates" necklace. Inspired by my clever husband, I designed a necklace to look like wrought iron gates. I named it after one of my favorite Smiths songs. Here's a pic and I would love to know what you think!

  2. Olive: The Smiths are awesome! I've been thinking about starting to sew lately. Wish my mother had taught me, but I suppose it's never too late. I can have her teach me to sew and knit. I think that would be a fun thing for us to do together! She made all my baby clothes. I just want to make pillows. That should be simple enough for a beginer I hope!.

Jodie: Thanks! i thought it came out really well. I accidently melted the ends of one of the pieces of the scrolling wire, and it turned out to be a great way to make it look more finished! Then went around and melted all the end parts! A little scary, but fun!

  7. Sylvia: thanks! I think they are really pretty, if just a bit tidious to make. I hope the soldering advice helps. I've kinda just teach myself as I go. A troy ounce of paste lasts a really long time! I get it at jewelrysupply .com give it a shot! I'm fortunate to live near Rio Grande Jewelry supply so that's where I get most of my supplies. Of course I do this with a lot of price comparison first!
